Kundalini yoga is a form of yoga for physical, mental and spiritual well-being.

Many people don’t realize that yoga is not just a great way to get in shape and tone your body. It’s also an excellent method of stress relief and relaxation.

Kundalini Yoga has been shown to improve a person’s mental health by reducing anxiety, decreasing depression, and improving sleep quality.

Kundalini Yoga can help you learn how to control your thoughts and emotions more effectively. This type of yoga also improves concentration which makes it easier for you to focus on tasks at work or home without being distracted by other things going on around you.

In addition, Kundalini Yoga helps increase energy levels so that people feel less tired during their day-to-day activities such as working out or taking care of children or aging parents who live with them. This type of yoga practice helps strengthen the immune system which protects against illness like colds.

The benefits of this type of yoga are many! If there was ever any doubt about whether or not practicing kundalini yoga could be beneficial for someone looking into getting healthier then hopefully these reasons will convince them otherwise.

Kriyas

Kriyas are short physical exercises that focus on the breath. These movements work to clear the energy pathways of your body, called meridian lines, so energy can flow freely. The kriyas are often accompanied by a mantra or chanting, which helps you focus your attention on your breathing and movement. The mantra you use may be a specific word or phrase or just a sound, such as an “om.” You’ll be guided through kriyas during class so don’t worry if you’ve never done one before; start slowly and with curiosity about how your body feels after each one.

Mantras

There are many mantras that you can use in your practice and in your life. You may find something that resonates with you here.

As a beginner, it’s important to know how to use them properly. They are used to help focus the mind on the benefits of the practice, develop awareness and mental concentration, as well as strengthen our nervous system and boost the immune system. All these things assist us in our meditation practices and helps us feel more positive about life in general.

It has been said that when we repeat a mantra constantly for a period of time it can have a profound effect on our consciousness because we are actually changing patterns in our brain wave activity with each repetition, which ultimately changes what we think about all day long! This is why mantras work so well during Pranayama or kriyas: they give us something else (besides pain) to focus on while doing difficult breathing exercises or poses that require lots of strength like sun salutations.”

Pranayama

As you enter the class, we begin with Pranayama breathing. Pranayama is a breathing technique that gives us more energy and puts us in the right mood to start our practice. It is important to breathe through the nose while practicing this exercise.

Begin by inhaling with your left nostril and exhaling with your right nostril for a minute or two. After this, both inhale and exhale through both nostrils for another minute or two. This should help clear your mind and bring you into a state of relaxation before beginning the warm up exercises.

Meditation

Meditation is a practice of concentration intended to promote calmness, serenity, and a state of greater awareness. In kundalini yoga, this technique is utilized to help relieve stress, bring about clarity in thought, and settle the mind.

Kundalini yogis believe that meditation can be practiced by anyone interested in achieving self-knowledge through the use of mindfulness techniques. By focusing and calming the mind, we are able to achieve a state of inner peace and stillness so we can listen to our deepest desires.

Kundalini meditation focuses on keeping the mind clear while breathing deeply and slowly through the nose. This is an easy form of meditation that helps you relax at any time during your day. You can even perform this practice while sitting in your car waiting for your kids to finish their extracurricular activities!
